My state is Minnesota
Minnesota is a Northern Midwest State
They have cold winters when the temperature can get down to 40 degrees below zero.
The summers can get hot with temperatures up into the 80's and 90's and they have a lot
of humidity which makes it seem even hotter. They have so much humidity for two reasons:
1) There are over 10,000 lakes in Minnesota. 2)They have rain at least once or twice a week.
In the southern part of the state there are many farms that grow corn, wheat, and all different kinds of beans. Farmers usually have some cows, pigs or chickens on their farm too.
In the northern part of the state there are Iron mines and some logging from the forests.
The state bird is the Loon, which always makes its home near one of the many lakes.
Minnesota also has white tailed deer, black bears and wolfs.
Minnesota's history has fur trappers, the Vikings, Native Indians, and many other explorers who would usually travel by boat because of the many lakes and rivers.
